[rTexPacker] Question (for version 5.5.0.0) : Is it possible to render the glyphs without any smoothing? #66

Hi,

I'm trying to create a bitmap atlas for a pixel font LanaPixel, nominal size 11px (e.g. https://github.com/ericoporto/pixel-utf8-fonts/tree/main/lanapixel )
I'm using the following settings:

  • Algorithm: Basic
  • Padding: 0
  • spacing: 0
  • Tex. Size: 1024
  • Repack Atlas on change (ON)
  • Font: LanaPixel
  • Font size: 11
  • Force height to font size (OFF)
  • Force monospace font width (OFF)
  • Generate SDF font (OFF)
  • a custom charset ( from a text file) :
    characters.txt

Modifying the atlas filter pressing 1 doesn't really help (and it seems not to affect rendering the file at all?).

That's how the atlas looks with the size 11 of the font:

Is there a way to get a sharper, not antialiased/smoothed result with a certain option?
If not is that planned in the future?
I guess for pixel fonts it would be very useful to get the sharp edges.

Thanks.
