👋 Hi, I'm Umo

DevOps & Platform Engineering | 📍 Switzerland

I build and operate self-hosted systems with a focus on Linux, containers, automation, and open-source infrastructure.

🔭 Current Focus

Currently diving deeper into Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and platform operations.

  • 🖥️ Production homelab (since 2021): Running 40+ containers, Nginx reverse proxy, WireGuard VPN, Prometheus/Grafana monitoring, and segmented networking.
  • 🤝 Open source contribution: Nextcloud Server Contributor (PR #59317) — merged and backported to stable32/33.
  • 📱 Building VaultSync: A self-hosted Obsidian/Syncthing sync app for iOS with a Docker-based notify sidecar and GitHub Actions CI.
  • ⚙️ Infrastructure: Containerized full-stack deployments with Docker Compose, GitHub Actions, and Linux-based server infrastructure.
